The homeowners envisioned a staircase that felt open and contemporary without overwhelming the living space. The challenge was creating a strong architectural focal point while preserving open sightlines, maximizing natural light, and complementing the home's clean modern aesthetic.
OUR SOLUTION
Iron Timbers designed a custom straight monostringer staircase featuring 3.5-inch thick solid ash treads finished with a natural oil to showcase the wood's character. A sleek horizontal steel railing with a matching ash top rail reinforces the clean architectural lines while maintaining openness throughout the home. The result is a staircase that feels both modern and inviting, serving as a true centerpiece of the living space.
